Our physiotherapists use a variety of techniques to help you recover and rehabilitate after illness, surgery and injuries
PHYSIOTHERAPY
About physiotherapy
Physiotherapy can play a vital role in your rehabilitation if you’ve had an accident, sustained an injury or your mobility has been affected by illness or a medical procedure. By helping you rebuild strength, restore your mobility, flexibility and function, it can support you back to full fitness or a more active life. Our physiotherapists specialise in different types of physio including musculoskeletal, women’s health, maternity, post-operative, cardiorespiratory, oncology, vestibular rehabilitation,
neurological rehabilitation and hand therapy. We have the latest gym and rehabilitation equipment at a number of our facilities, including hydrotherapy at The Wellington Hospital, and our partnership with the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH) gives you access to a standard of sports physio previously only available to elite athletes. We also offer clinical Pilates and hold running assessment clinics.
Physiotherapy teams
Across the HCA UK network we offer physiotherapy to our inpatients and on an outpatient basis.
Each physiotherapy team is made up of experienced physios who specialise in different areas of physiotherapy including musculoskeletal, respiratory, neurological and maternity.
Whether you’re an inpatient or outpatient a physiotherapist will work with you to design a therapy plan that suits your individual needs in frequency and intensity.
Physiotherapy at HCA UK is covered by most major insurers and is also available on a self pay basis.
